Dijon, France

Dijon that is in France is a city that is located in the eastern part of France and is the capital of the Cote-d'Or department and is situated in the Bourgogne region of France. Dijon has about 160,000 citizens in its area.
Dijon also boasts having many churches and cathedrals in its area, which include the famous Notre Dame de Dijon and the St. Benigne among others.

While in Dijon you can visit the Dijon Cathedral which is dedicated to the saint Benignus of Dijon and is a cathedral for the Roman Catholics and is considered a national monument of the entire of France. It is located in the Burgundy region and was prior to that the Abbey of St. Benignus but then it became the seat of the Bishopric of the Dijon area. It became that during the French revolution and has been the seat of the Archbishopric of Dijon ever since.
It is done in a Gothic style and was built and renovated between the year 1280 and the year 1325, but was only dedicated in the year 1393.

If you are planning on visiting Dijon with your friends and family, and you are interested in the ways in which you can reach Dijon or travel through the city, you can use the TGV which is a high speed train line which reaches Paris in less than two hours. You can also continue to Lyon, or you can go by car. You can also reach Nice in several hours, so you can use Dijon as a center for your touring or as a place where you can visit and tour in and occasionally venture via train to other cities and tour them as well.
