There are undoubtedly many places in the world you can go to get in some good skiing, but have you thought about heading over to Oberstaufen in Germany?

Found in the district of Oberallgäu in Bavaria, Oberstaufen is one place you can go to assured in the knowledge that you are visiting a place that is not only full of history, but that is full of skiing fun. Skiing however, is not all there is to Oberstaufen. The Steibis Imberg ski area is ideal for sledging and has an 8 person gondola that can take you up the slopes. Another good place for sledging, is the Hochgratbahn Oberstaufen-Steibis. It has 5-6 km long runs, with the Unterlauchabfahrt 6 km run being open for sledders during full moon nights as well. This is an opportunity you should not miss.
