Pefkohori, Greece

Pefkohori that is in Greece is also known as Pefkochori, which means "pine town" in the Greek language. Pefkohori is a major tourist attraction and town which is located in the south east side of the peninsula of Cassandreia and Halkidiki. Pefkohori got its name due to the many pine trees in the area - mainly in the mountains surrounding the area. The population is small and has about 1,700 people in it, and about the same number of people in the munucipal district. It is located only 10 meters above sea level and is famous for the abundant forests which dominate the skyline.

Pefkohori is located in the periphery of Central Macadonia in the prefecture of Chalkidiki and in the municipality of Pallini.
Pefkohori has two subdivisions but one of them only has about 15 people and the other is abandoned.
Pefkohori is near Hanioti and Nea Skioni as well as Paliouri, so if you are touring in the region and you want to see more during your tour or vacation and holiday, you can use it as your base of origin, or use it as the starting point of your journey, or maybe as one of the locations you'll visit, but you'll start elsewhere and slowly progress and go from interesting town and village to interesting town and village. That way you'll get to see a lot more, and you will cover more ground that way.
