There is nothing like spending your holiday in a warm tropical climate. One country where you can find a lovely Mediterranean climate is that of Israel. Here you can see how Tel Aviv holds up as a holiday destination. This city which is the second largest city in Israel is situated on the Israeli Mediterranean coastline. This location provides Tel Aviv with the warm climate which makes it ideal for sun lovers. You will find there are many things to see and try your hand at while you are here.
As with many other big cities you will find that accommodation is easy to find in Tel Aviv. The choice of accommodation will vary from hostels for campers and backpackers to well equipped five star hotels. Most of the hotels can be found in the area which is known as the Center. The food which you can order from the numerous restaurants and eateries will be ones that you may be familiar with alongside those of the more traditional Israeli food dishes. Shopping is just as wide ranging as dining in Tel Aviv. You will find that you can purchase anything that you would from home. For those of you who want to get out of the heat there are 5 major malls that you can investigate. These include the Central Bus Station and the Ramat Aviv Mall.
Out of the many sights to look at while you are in Tel Aviv you will find the Azriely Lookout a good place to see the entire city from 200 meters above. The Tel Aviv Museum of Art is the biggest art museum in the country. You might also want to check out Old Jaffa. This ancient port is reputed to be the place where Jonah boarded a ship and was later swallowed by a whale. On the other hand craft lovers might enjoy visiting the craft fair which is held in the Nachalat Binyamin pedestrian zone. You can locate this pedestrian zone in Central Tel Aviv.
Historic places of interest that you will find in this city will include Rabin Square. This is the square where Israeli’s then Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated during a rally in the square. The square was renamed in honor of the slain Prime Minister. Another place of interest is that of White City in Tel Aviv. This place has been named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
To complete your visit to Tel Aviv do remember to visit the beaches. Here during Friday afternoons you can enjoy a cooling dip in the ocean waters along with the other inhabitants of the city. Along with the swimming you can also enjoy live music from Brazilian drum beats to the smell of delicious barbeques. While you may enjoy swimming in the ocean take care as you may have jelly fish neighbors to watch out for.
