Madonna di Campiglio is a resort located in the valley between the Brenta Dolomites. At fifteen hundred and fifty meters high, this resort is a skier’s fantasy come true. There are dozens of ski trails to choose from and many tourist opportunities for those who don’t want to just ski.

Even though the resort of Madonna di Campiglio is located at an elevation of fifteen hundred fifty meters, the ski trails extend much farther up the mountain side. Many of the trails go as far up as twenty-six hundred meters. The resort has over fifty ski lifts and 150km of ski runs of varying difficulty for you to choose from. On these trails you can snow shoe, snow board, telemark, and sled dog. There are so many ski runs that Madonna di Campiglio boasts that you can go from the top most part of the ski runs and to the center of town without removing your skis!

There are other things to do besides ski, ski, ski. For those that are interested you can go ice skating or you can paraglide. There is also an area you can go ice climbing on.

Those that don’t want anything to do with the snow and ice can walk the Nordic Walking Park. . Performing the Nordic Walk is a form of walking exercise that works more areas of your body than regular walking does. It can be therapeutic when performed correctly. Another wonderful view that must be seen is Lake Nambino. Lake Nambino is located above Madonna di Campiglio. During the winter the snow embanks it making it look like it has a shawl of white on. This wonderful view is worth the trip out to see it.
