Perugia, Italy
Perugia that is in Italy is a capital city which is located in the Umbria region which is located in the center of Italy. Perugia is located near the Tiber river and the city's symbol is a crowned griffin which is used on plaques and statues.
Perugia is considered an artistic center of the entire of Italy and a famous painter called Pietro Vannucci which is also known as Perugino, lived near Perugia, and a different famous painter called Pinturicchio also lived in Perugia.
Perugia also boasts a famous architect as its resident.
Perugia has a humid subtropical climate which means that despite being located in the center of Italy, it enjoys a north-Italy type of climate.
Perugia has about 170,000 residents in it, most of it of Italian descent.
If you are interested in the universities and schools that Perugia has to offer, or if you are a student that is interested in the schools the city has to offer, you have a choice between two main universities. The two main universities are the Universita degli Studi and the Foreigners University which is also known as the Universita per Stranieri.
Perugia is an Italian center for language and culture and serves students from all over the world.
You can also study in the Perugia Fine Arts Academy which was founded way back in 1573 and is also called the Pietro Vannucci.
If you are a tourist or if you are interested in seeing the sights that the city has to offer, you have a lot of choice. Among those sights is the famous Cathedral of S. Lorenzo as well as the Church of San Pietro which was established in the later part of the 16th century.

If you are interested in Perugia's local history you can visit the National Museum of Umbrian Archaeology where you can view the longest Etruscan inscription which is called the Cippus perusinus.
Perugia also boasts an administration civic center building which is owned by the Umbria region and was designed by the famous Aldo Rossi which won the Pritzker architecture prize.
Perugia also boasts a rich tradition of artists and art, including the painter Pietro Perugino which is part of the High Renaissance movement.
Perugia also celebrates local events like the Umbria Jazz Festival which is a very important venue for Jazz all over Europe and is being held each year and has been held each year ever since 1973.
