Mamaia, Romania
Mamaia that is in Romania is a resort for tourists and vacationers, which is located in the Romanian part of the Black Sea shore, and is considered to be Romania's most popular tourist and vacation attraction. It is situated in the north-eastern part of Constanta which is the oldest city in the entire country of Romania, and was established during 600 BC, and is situated in the Dobruja region and serves as the capital to the Constanta county - it's the largest city in the region.
Mamaia has become a popular tourist resort due to a big investment in a tourism infrastructure, and has very few constant residents. Most of its residents are there for a vacation from several days to several months, and they either stay at a hotel or rent an apartment that overlooks the Black sea and is very close to the beaches, where you can take an organized cruise with your friends and family, take a boat or rent a yacht and sail the sea and maybe visit other locations in the area, or rent a jet ski, or go with your family and friends on what is known as a banana boat - a long inflated "boat" with seats that is being dragged by a jet ski in a pretty fast speed, and you need to hang on tightly to it or you'll fall off. You are given a life jacket, and the jet ski stops if you fall off, allowing you to get back on it, and the speeds aren't fast enough to cause a major risk to the participants.
You can also bathe in the sea and enjoy the waves, or sunbathe or enjoy the kiosks that are on the beach. There are also chairs and beach umbrellas for people that want to stay out of the sun.
You can also take a break with your family from the sea and the sun, and go to one of the restaurants that are located on the beach, and offers sitting both inside the building and outside of it.
You can also stroll along the coast of the Black sea which is long and away from the roads, so you can have a peaceful walk or jog during the morning or evening.
Visitors to Mamaia come from all over the world, - about eight million per year, mostly from European countries, such as Austria, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, the Ukraine, Turkey and from various other parts of the world.
Due to the high intake of visitors and vacationers in Mamaia, the restaurant and hotel industry are the strongest in the area, and earns many millions to the Romanians each year, which is used to upkeep the resort.
Mamaia is a small place that stretches on only 8 kilometres (5 miles) of land, 300 meters (328 yards) in width. It is a small strip of land that is situated between the Black sea and the Siutghiol sea, and is most active between May and September.
