Playa de Palma, Spain
Playa de Palma Spain is located on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca Spain. Playa de Palma’s beautiful beaches are a wonderful tourist attraction.
Playa de Palma is a long 5km stretch of unbroken sandy beaches that attract mainly European tourists. The sands are clean and have a gentle decent to the sea.
Those visiting the beach will notice distinctive beach huts that line the eastern coast. These beach huts, or balneario as they are called, are numbered so that those exploring the beaches can easily find their way back.
A nice feature of the Playa de Palma is the long Promenade that boarders the beach. Since the addition of the promenade, foot traffic and bicycles are the only thing allowed in this area. No motorized vehicles, which makes it safer for families to roam the boardwalk. The promenade is home to many different shops and bars. The main type of bar located in the Playa de Palma promenade is German but there are British and other types of bars located there as well.
The beach is the main attraction of Playa de Palma but it is becoming popular for people to rent bicycles and cycle up and down the promenade and to nearby Palma de Mallorca.
Playa de Palma also has an active nightlife for those interested. Dependent upon what you are interested in there are several different evening discos to attend.
Tito’s, a popular disco in the Playa de Palma district, allows the older crowd in after 11 pm. Until 11pm Tito’s caters to the teenage crowd. Tito’s is among the top discos in the area for their music and fun.
There are discos that are all inclusive. Once you pay the price of admission, you get your drinks free. These are obviously very popular stops; one of these such discos is located behind Tito’s.
There is also a casino that is a popular tourist stop. The Casino Mallorca offers not only a place for those feeling lucky to win big but it also offers a variety of eateries. The Casino Mallorca offers food from fine dining all the way down to fast food type restaurants. Some of these restaurants even offer entertainment with your meal.
Playa de Palma is a small tourist stop when in Spain. While it does offer some shopping and eating the main attraction here are the clean yellow sands of its massive beach.
