Boston in the US is the largest city in Massachusetts and is the capital city of this state. It is one of the oldest cities in the US and is the largest city in New England. Boston residents have a distinct accent that originated in the 17th century in East Anglia and Lincolnshire.

The city has boasted a low crime rate for over 20 years, and its economy is based mainly on educational positions and high-tech industries.

Its local cuisine relies heavily on seafood, salt and dairy, and shares its roots with New England.

Boston is also hardcore punk's birthplace though it saw a decline during the city's gentrification era.

The city has a strong connection to the American Revolution and has several buildings preserved, and is the home to several ornate theatres like the Cutler Majestic Theatre, the Boston Opera House and the Citi Performing Arts Centre. Boston houses the Boston Arts Festival and the First Night.
