Irving, U.S.A.
Irving that is in the USA is located in Texas, and is pronounced er-ving. It is located within the Dallas County and has a population of about 200,000 people. Irving is located in the Dallas-Plano-Irving metropolitan area, and contains the Las Colinas which spreads over 12,000 acres which are 48 square kilometers.
Irving boasts having the largest equestrian sculpture in the world that is located in Las Colinas, and is called Mustangs at Las Colinas, and being the site of the Irving Convention Center which is still under construction and should be completed by November 2010.
Mistangs at Las Colinas is a sculpture that is made from bronze and was made by Robert Glen and is located in Williams Square in Las Colinas. It was erected to remind people of the large wild mustang’s packs that were a big part of old Texas.
Irving has an average warm climate - the highest months are around the month of July, and the rainy season is around the month of May, so if you intend to visit the the city or tour it with your family and friends, it's important to take the right clothes for the occasion, and plan your trip accordingly.
Irving is a city with many primary and secondary schools, as well as colleges and universities which is mostly served by the IISD which is the Irving Independent School District, but some parts of its education is handled by the CISD - The Coppell Independent School District, and the CFBISD which is the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District.
Among the schools in Irving there are high schools which include Irving High School, MacArthur High School, the Nimitz High School and more.
Irving also offers several private schools, and is the home to the Cistercian Preparatory school which is a university-preparatory for boys through grade 5 to 12, and is one of the best private schools that is located in the state.
There are also several colleges and universities such as the University of Dallas and the North Lake College which is a campus in the Dallas County Community College district, as well as other universities.
If you want to watch some sports while you visit Irving, Texas, you can watch American football games in the Texas stadium which is famous for being the original home of the famous Dallas Cowboys. They are now situated in the Arlington area of Texas.
You can also watch high schools play games in the Irving Independent School's stadiums.
If American football isn't your thing, you can watch ice hockey teams which Irving sponsors, citywide and in high-schools.
If you are worried about transportation, don't be. You can reach Irving or get out of Irving using numerous highways, and there are also many bus routes that reach Irving and take you around Irving, or you can use the Trinity Railway Express train if you wish to get into Irving and out of it even quicker.
