Harrogate, United Kingdom is also known as Harrogate Spa. Harrogate is a spa town in North Yorkshire. A spa town is a town that is placed around a mineral spa. The waters there have purported health benefits. Spa towns also offer hydrotherapy.
Harrogate is a very popular tourist location and is known for its spa waters and for its Betty's tearooms. Harrogate was built back in the 17th century and was made of two separate entities.

Before the spring was discovered Harrogate was divided into two villages. The mineral spring was only discovered back in 1571. It was discovered that the water had the same qualities as the one in the Belgian town called Spa. That is where Harrogate got its name as a 'spa' town.
Besides being a tourist attraction, the town is used as a place to stop over for commuters who are going to work in nearby cities. Harrogate is also a huge draw for property developers and people looking to buy a property in the vicinity.
If you want to know what to wear in Harrogate, it's important to note that the climate is usually dry or mild. It gets very cold sometimes but it can reach 20 Degrees Celsius at other times, and the springs which offer hot water make up for the temperatures.
If you are interested to tour the city and observe its architecture, there are many attractions in Harrogate. Among those are the Royal Hall theatre which was designed by the famous Frank Matcham.
The Royal Hall theatre is an important landmark and has been undergoing restoration works to return it to its previous state. The restorations ended in 2007 and the hall is completely open for the public.
