Boston in the US is the largest city in Massachusetts and is the capital city of this state. It is one of the oldest cities in the US and is the largest city in New England. It is a home to 7.5 million people and a centre for higher education due to the many universities and colleges in the area.The city's economy is assisted by it and is based on research, engineering, finance and technology.

There are 21 official neighborhoods in Boston and the climate is a humid continental one. There are roughly 609,000 people residing in Boston which makes it a very densely populated area- only SF, Chicago and NY City have a denser populous than Boston.

During weekdays the population can double itself as a result of special events, work etc.
Boston residents have a distinct accent that originated in the 17th century in East Anglia and Lincolnshire.

The city has boasted a low crime rate for over 20 years, and its economy is based mainly on educational positions and high-tech industries.

Its local cuisine relies heavily on seafood, salt and dairy, and shares its roots with New England.

Boston is also hardcore punk's birthplace though it saw a decline during the city's gentrification era.

The city has a strong connection to the American Revolution and has several buildings preserved, and is the home to several ornate theatres like the Cutler Majestic Theatre, the Boston Opera House and the Citi Performing Arts Centre. Boston houses the Boston Arts Festival and the First Night.
